Med's NBA Roster v3.9 & Universal Portrait Project v3.5 Released

More changes in the NBA since the last update (March 5)! Four new players are added to the roster, a player comes out of retirement, a player goes overseas making total of 24 players have been moved around. New additional courts such as the NBA Global Games in Rio 2013 & 2014 have also been added to the roster, and a fix to persistent crashing reports has been re-addressed.

Player Transactions

Other than your excellent updates for accessories, ratings and animations by J-Paul, a total of 24 players were moved since March 5. Sonny Weems, Jared Cunningham, Jeff Ayres, Jordan Farmar, Ray McCallum Jr., Tony Wroten, Henry Sims, Tim Frazier, Lorenzo Brown, Chase Budinger, and Marcus Thornton have all been signed. Christian Wood, Mario Chalmers, Alex Stepheson, Justin Harper, Rasual Butler, Phil Pressey and Gary Neal have all been waived. Xavier Munford by Zed2K and Alan Williams by SUPERSUB47 are both newcomers to the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns respectively, along with Coty Clarke by monzki15 and Briante Weber by KeithNavaja which have been added to the Free Agents with new cyberfaces which means Main Directory Files 20 should be downloaded as it includes the new cyberfaces for both players. Nazr Mohammed came out of retirement to return to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Nate Robinson was removed from the roster for playing overseas.

NBA Global Games in Rio 2013 & 2014

The HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by retroman has been added to the roster as it was the venue for the NBA Global Games back in 2013 (Chicago Bulls vs Washington Wizards) and 2014 (Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat). A stadium has not been made for it yet, but as soon as the venue for Basketball Olympics in Rio 2016 has been revealed (also HSCB Arena), we'll be able to update the stadium along with the FIBA 2K14 update. We're sure everyone is excited for the Sacramento Kings Alternate Court, but unfortunately nobody has made the court yet so we can't add it to the update yet.

Crashing Issues Fix

There have been reports that some users are still experiencing end of 1st/3rd quarter crashing. We've already fixed this before by replacing the Los Angeles Clippers' "HD" jerseys with normal jerseys. However, it appears some users still have these files which cause crashing. Because of this, we have included the fixes for these jerseys ONCE AGAIN in Main Directory Files 20. If end of 1st/3rd quarter crashing still persists after implementing these files, we are absolutely sure that the crashing is due to an "HD" cyberface that you may have downloaded.

Universal Portrait Project Update

The Universal Portrait Project has also been updated from v3.4 to v3.5. This update features the new portraits for the new players added to the NBA roster update, namely Xavier Munford, Alan Williams, Coty Clarke and Briante Weber. It also updates the portraits for the upcoming Kuroko V Slam Dunk: Interhigh Update (v1.0).

PBA 2K14 v10.1 Released

With new imports for GlobalPort and Rain Or Shine as well as newly implemented transactions in PBA 2K14 and updated ratings, animations, rotations, etc. We were able to update PBA 2K14's 2016 Comm Cup Roster and fix its schedule errors, fix a bug with the 2016 Phil Cup roster. Updated Rosters & Cyberfaces

This minor update features updated imports as GlobalPort replaced Calvin Warner with Shawn Taggart, and Rain Or Shine replaced Antoine Wright with Mo Charlo. Updated cyberfaces are also available for Ricardo Ratliffe (with mini afro) and Terrence Romeo (returned to his black hair). Terrence Romeo's longer version of his blonde hair has been implemented to the 2016 PBA Phil Cup roster instead, since the short version of his blonde hair is available in the Gilas versions of him. Gary David, Chris Timberlake, Philip Paniamogan, Axel Doruelo, and Eddie Laure have also been removed from the roster to reflect them being waived by their respective teams. We cannot place them in the Free Agents as they may be signed by college teams in Association & MyCareer modes. Josh Vanlandingham, Eric Camson, and Jens Knuttel return to the roster in Alaska, NLEX, and Phoenix respectively. Kyle Pascual of Mahindra and Jason Ballesteros of Blackwater have also been traded for each other. Nico Elorde has been added to the Mahindra Enforcer in the 2016 PBA Comm Cup roster and removed in the 2016 PBA Phil Cup roster as he was not signed by any PBA team during that time. The schedule of the 2016 PBA Comm Cup roster has also been fixed as there were minor errors in previous releases.

FIBA 2K14 v4.2 Released

After numerous delays, we've finally released the update! FIBA 2K14 v4.2 has been released and updates Iran and Italy's 2015 rosters for both the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship and EuroBasket 2015, as well as adds a personal selection of Gilas Pilipinas and Team USA players for the 2016 Basketball Olympics in Rio.

Updated 2015 Iran & Italy Rosters

FIBA 2K14 v4.2 updates Iran's roster for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship and Italy's roster for EuroBasket 2015. This adds NBA stars such as Danilo Gallinari and Andre Bargnani to the roster. Missing cyberfaces for numerous coaches have also been completed.

2016 Gilas Pilipinas & Team USA Rosters

A personal selection of 12 players were chosen for the Philippines roster at the 2016 Basketball Olympics in Rio Qualifying Tournament and the USA roster at 2016 Basketball Olympics in Rio. In this roster, we see Ranidel De Ocampo for Gilas Pilipinas despite a very slim chance that he will be participating this year, and Kobe Bryant for Team USA despite him declining to play for USA this year. We will update these in v4.3 where Marc Pingris will replace Ranidel De Ocampo for the Philippines and Carmelo Anthony will replace Kobe Bryant for USA. With Terrence Romeo and Gabe Norwood sporting new hair styles this 2016, we have included Terrence Romeo's black haired cyberface (to be updated), and Gabe Norwood's curly flat top hair for this update. These two teams are available in the FIBA 2016 Rio roster.

To enjoy the new additions to FIBA 2K14 v4.2's cyberface and jersey updates, an 88 MB Follow Up Pack has been uploaded for you to download complementary to the FIBA 2K14 v4.2 Appdata Files that have been uploaded in the Downloads Section. The files in this 88 MB follow up pack have already been included in the re-uploaded FIBA 2K14 Main Directory Files 2, and FIBA 2K14 Full Packs for those that have yet to download the FIBA 2K14 v4.0 or FIBA 2K14 v4.0 update, or have yet to download for the first time.

Future Updates

As we near the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, we expect to have updated all of the remaining teams that do not have their updated rosters for 2015 (Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Finland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine). The next update, v4.3 is expected have updated 2015 rosters for Japan and Korea. The newly unveiled Nike jerseys for all of the FIBA teams participating in this year's Olympics is also expected to be added to v4.3 by Dunix. We will also be adding Czech Republic, Latvia and Tunisia for v5.0 which will be the start of the Rio 2016 updates, along with a new roster structure, three new court updates for the qualifying team's home courts, before the 2016 Basketball Olympics in Rio roster updates itself.

NBA 2K14/16 Cover Athletes Icons Released

While moving files and cleaning up some folders, I realized that my NBA 2K14 icon was not updated, it was still the default LeBron James icon for NBA 2K14. Having realized that, I decided to create new icons using the NBA 2K16 Cover Athletes, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Stephen Curry.

NBA 2K14 & NBA 2K16 Icons

Icons were created with the same template for the FIBA 2K14 and PBA 2K14 icons, using the NBA 2K16 Cover Athletes, Anthony Davis, James Harden, and Stephen Curry. Two versions of each athlete's icon are uploaded, an NBA 2K14 version as well as an NBA 2K16 version for those that wish to use this for their NBA 2K14 or NBA 2K16 copy.

Progress on Updates

FIBA 2K14 v4.2 is ONE cyberface away from being released (looks like it will be released this week), which will feature the 2015 Iran and Italy rosters, as well as the 2016 Philippines and USA rosters. Kuroko V Slam Dunk now has complete rosters and jerseys for v1.0 which will feature 8 new Slam Dunk teams not in v0.2, which are Aiwa Academy, Daiei Academy, Jousei High, Meihou Industry Affiliated High, Sannoh Industry Affiliated High, Takezato High, Toyotama High, and Tsukubu High. This version of Kuroko V Slam Dunk will finally be available for MyCareer and Association modes. Cyberfaces are all that is remaining for Kuroko V Slam Dunk v1.0 before we can proceed to adding special teams on the Slam Dunk side, as well as creating presentation files for Kuroko V Slam Dunk. As of now, there is no release date for Kuroko V Slam Dunk yet. PBA 2K14 v10.1 is FOUR cyberfaces away from being released (updated Ricardo Ratliffe, Mo Charlo, Shawn Taggart, and black-haired Terrence Romeo). It is expected to be released next week. Not sure if there is a need for an NBA roster update as there have been three roster updates in the past two weeks already. If ever an NBA roster update will be released, it would probably coincide with the PBA 2K14 v10.1 update. The Universal Portrait Project v3.5 update will be released along with the Kuroko V Slam Dunk update as the next update is primarily used in Kuroko V Slam Dunk v1.0 and Med's NBA Roster v3.9.

PBA 2K14 v10.0 & Universal Portrait Project v3.4 Released

Exactly a month after the start of the 2016 Oppo PBA Commissioner's Cup, we finally release the long-awaited PBA 2K14 v10.0 update! This update features the updated roster with imports, new jerseys, stadium and cyberface updates, presentation files, scoreboard and logos files. The Universal Portrait Project has also been updated to include the new portrait for to-be-added NBA Player Coty Clarke, update multiple PBA players and add portraits for a couple of PBA imports.

Updated Roster & Cyberfaces

This major update features the changes that have the Phoenix Fuel Masters replacing the Barako Bull Energy, as well as the TNT Tropang Texters' silent renaming to Tropang TNT. Updated transactions that sent Jeric Fortuna to the GlobalPort Batang Pier from the San Miguel Beermen, as well as the addition of Ken Bono to the Meralco Bolts have been implemented. The imports have also been added to the roster for the 2016 Oppo Commissioner's Cup, and the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup roster also received minor error fixes. The 2015 PBA rosters received the same detailed fixes regarding the retro teams and special teams. The championship history of the teams have also been updated specific to each conference roster. The major update is also your basic roster update which features updated ratings, tendencies, jersey numbers, rotations of every team based on their last official box score, accessories, positions, and transactions. A total of 21 cyberfaces have been added to the update, which features new cyberfaces for players like Calvin Abueva, Terrence Romeo, etc. The schedule has also been updated to include the 2016 Oppo PBA Commissioner's Cup real schedule.

Updated Courts

The Fictional Home Court for the Phoenix Fuel Masters has been created for the PBA 2016 Comm Cup Home roster which marks the continuation of the Fictional Home Court series for PBA 2K14. Not only that, but the Smart Araneta Coliseum's stanchion also received an update. This stadium update is only available in the 2016 PBA Comm Cup rosters as we are going for an ultimate roster-like experience for PBA 2K14, marking the accuracy for conferences, years and eras for PBA 2K14 regarding not only rosters, cyberfaces and jerseys, but also courts. The stadiums for the other courts such as Cuneta Astrodome, etc. have also received updates regarding the advertisements in the stadium itself. The Fictional Home Court rosters have been placed in a different folder to be able to identify them more clearly during extraction, and have now been renamed to "FHC" (Fictional Home Court) instead of "Home".

Updated Presentation Files

The PBA 2K14's major update features another new set of headlines for the new conference. A new frontend_sync file has also been added which replaces the NBA logos during the team select screen with PBA logos. Terrence Romeo and Calvin Abueva's images in the Global, Title Screens (both the solo and the group title screen for Romeo, only the solo title screen for Abueva), and Icons have been updated from their last season look to their current season look.

Updated Scoreboard, Logos & Overlays

PBA 2K14 v10 features a new logos file that is compatible with other mods from the series (Med's NBA Roster, FIBA 2K14 & Kuroko V Slam Dunk), the logos and scoreboard logos have added the new logos for the Phoenix Fuel Masters, and Tropang TNT. The new 2016 Oppo PBA Commissioner's Cup scoreboard has also been added for 16:9 monitors, along with the TV5 Rio 2016 overlay for both 4:3 and 16:9 monitors. The bootup logos have also been updated where the Blackwater Elite's color was changed for readability, including the addition of the new Phoenix Fuel Masters logo and updated Tropang TNT logo.

Updated Jerseys

The Phoenix Fuel Masters and Tropang TNT have new jerseys and warmup jackets to match their new logos for PBA 2K14 v10. The Star Hotshots' dark jersey (yellow) also received a color update, along with the addition of the black alternate jersey the Alaska Aces wore in Game 6 of the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup Finals against the San Miguel Beermen.

Universal Portrait Project Update

The Universal Portrait Project has also been updated from v3.3 to v3.4. A portrait has been added for Coty Clarke of the Boston Celtics (NBA) and the portraits for Jay Washington of the GlobalPort Batang Pier (PBA), Kevin Alas & Rob Reyes of the NLEX Road Warriors (PBA), Harvey Carey, Rob Labagala, Ryan Reyes, Larry Fonacier, Kelly Williams, Elmer Espiritu, Danny Seigle & Aaron Aban of the Tropang TNT (PBA) have been updated. Portraits for M.J. Rhett of the Blackwater Elite and David Simon of the Tropang TNT (both PBA) have also been added.

Future Updates

The cyberface for Ricardo Ratliffe, the import for the Star Hotshots will be updated in the Follow Up Pack that will be released for PBA 2K14 v10.1, along with the updates for any remaining import changes in the conference. According to the latest news, the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters will be replacing Antoine Wright soon, and we can no longer afford to not release the update for all of you to enjoy, so we will be including these cyberfaces in the follow up pack for v10.1 instead. Other local players will also be receiving cyberface updates for v10.1.

We are extremely sorry for the unfortunate delays over the past few weeks and we hope that this update makes up for it with the hard work we put into the update. The break that the Pinoy 2K Modders took (as announced in the previous post regarding the PBA 2K14 v9.1 update), took much longer than expected. Not only that, but the manpower for the modding team took a significant hit that not only did multiple delays occur, but we were unable to update the UAAP Season 78 roster, as well as the NCAA Season 91 jerseys.

To be able to download these updates, please download the new PBA 2K14 Appdata Files, PBA 2K14 Main Directory Files 11, PBA 2K14 Logos & Scoreboards and PBA 2K14 Optional Files. Please remember to overwrite when applying the new update for it to take effect. This update includes the Follow Up Pack from PBA 2K14 v9.1. If you are still missing any cyberfaces, jerseys or courts after applying this update, we urge you to download the Full Packs (for first time downloaders) as they have all been re-uploaded to include the newest update (PBA 2K14 v10.0). Med's NBA Roster v3.8b Released

From the roster update less than 12 hours ago, some minor transactions and edits were implemented to the roster in v3.8b such as the signing of two players, addition of another, with ratings, animations and position edits.

Player Transactions

The Philadelphia 76ers sign Christian Wood and the San Antonio Spurs add more depth to their already deep roster by signing Kevin Martin. Debuting in the NBA D-League is Baron Davis which makes him a free agent in the roster (All players in the NBA D-League are free agents in the roster). Animations for Draymond Green and Baron Davis have been edited, with ratings for all Free Agents being recalibrated. Ratings for Baron Davis and Kevin Martin were also updated. Tobias Harris has been changed to a PF/SF and Marcus Morris has been changed to an SF/PF.

Med's NBA Roster v3.8 & Universal Portrait Project v3.3

The v3.8 update which was released less than 12 hours earlier required the re-downloading of Main Directory Files 19. However, if you have already downloaded v3.8 earlier, downloading v3.8b will only require you to download the Appdata Files since this is only a roster update. The Universal Portrait Project has also been updated from v3.2 to v3.3. This update features the new portraits for the new players added to the NBA roster update, namely Jordan McRae and Axel Toupane.

Updates This Weekend

I personally expect to at least release FIBA 2K14 v4.2 tomorrow if PBA 2K14 v10 will not be able to make it since another import has been replaced (Denzel Bowles leaves the Star Hotshots. But there has been some progress on the PBA 2K14 update that only import cyberfaces are missing really. At this point, with the lack of manpower we have right now, we are welcoming any talented cyberface modders that wish to contribute to the next update for PBA 2K14 just to get it released tomorrow.

Med's NBA Roster v3.8 & Universal Portrait Project v3.3 Released

There have been a lot of changes in the NBA since latest roster update (February 25) that we had to release another one today! A total of 13 players have been moved to new teams with two new players added to the roster.

Player Transactions

Other than your generic updates for accessories, ratings and animations, a total of 13 players were moved since February 25. J.J. Hickson, Joe Johnson, Sean Kilpatrick, Jordan McRae, Andre Miller, Kris Humphries, Jason Thompson, Ryan Hollins, Greg Smith, Axel Toupane, Andrew Goudelock and Michael Beasley were all signed. Jordan McRae and Axel Toupane are both newcomers to the roster with new cyberfaces which means Main Directory Files 19 should be re-downloaded as it includes the new cyberfaces for both players. Marcus Thornton, Ray McCallum, Beno Udrih, Anthony Bennett, Kevin Martin and James Ennis were waived since February 25, and Chris Johnson was removed from the roster for playing overseas.

Universal Portrait Project Update

The Universal Portrait Project has also been updated from v3.2 to v3.3. This update features the new portraits for the new players added to the NBA roster update, namely Jordan McRae and Axel Toupane.
