Med's NBA Roster v4.0 Released

Thank you for the wonderful 2015-2016 NBA season! Change has come! The fourth season of Med's NBA Roster for NBA 2K14, the fifth season since Med's NBA Roster for NBA 2K13! This new update includes the new NBA season such as updated player & coach transactions, new retirees added to the retiree vault, the 2016 NBA rookies, and the new 2016-2017 NBA jerseys!

New Retiree Vaults & Roster Updates

A total of 38 new retirees have been added to new Retiree Vaults (Retiree Vaults 4 & 5). A lot of the cyberfaces and player info come from old versions of NBA 2K, as well as the Ultimate Base Roster. So huge credits to HAWK23 for the addition of the new retiree vault players! Other than that, we have your basic NBA roster update with all of the new transactions since the last update (June 19, 2016). Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jerian Grant are now members of the Chicago Bulls. George Hill is the new point guard for the Utah Jazz. Marco Belinelli now plays for the Charlotte Hornets. Derrick Rose & Justin Holiday join the New York Knicks. Serge Ibaka and Jodie Meeks are now part of the Orlando Magic. Thaddeus Young and Jeff Teague have joined the Indiana Pacers. Cameron Bairstow is now a member of the Detroit Pistons. Both Victor Oladipo and Ersan Ilyasova now join the Oklahoma City Thunder.

All of the new coaching changes for the new NBA season have also been implemented. David Fizdale now coaches the Memphis Grizzlies. Kenny Atkinson is the new coach for the Brooklyn Nets. Dave Joerger will coach the Sacramento Kings. Nate McMillan now coaches the Indiana Pacers. Former Assistant Coach Luke Walton is now the new Head Coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. Tom Thibodeau returns to head coaching, this time for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Frank Vogel is the new coach for the Orlando Magic and Scott Brooks is back as the new head coach for the Washington Wizards.

2016-2017 NBA Rookies!

All of the rookies drafted in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft are now added to the roster! The only exceptions to this are Juan Hernangomez, Guerschon Yabusele, and Ante Zizic that will not be playing this season due to their contracts overseas. Thus, they are added to Overseas Vault 10 instead. All of the rookies are made by byronray and Monzki15. They deserve most, if not all of the credit here. Hener2K provided the cyberfaces for both Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram while I assigned the players to their respective teams. Rookies drafted in the first round are the only players with guaranteed contracts so we chose to add them first. Future updates will include the second rounders once the contracts have been finalized for next season.

The draft order for MyCareer has already been updated, featuring the 2016 NBA Draft Class. However, the Rookie Showcase does not feature the rookies yet. All of the contracts have also not been adjusted yet to the new salary cap as of yet, because the new contracts have to be finalized before we proceed.

New Jerseys by MVL & Shoes by JPeB

The Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings now have their new jerseys provided by MVL. The Kings now have their new Home, Away, Alternate and Back in Black jerseys while the Jazz have their Home, Away, Alternate and Pride sleeved jerseys.

Future Updates

Future updates will include the Free Agency updates, while roster updates near the opening night of the next season will feature more accurate contracts as well. All of the undrafted players that were signed, second-rounders that were signed as well as the players who were drafted last year but will play this season will also be added. As of now, the retiree vaults and overseas vaults are pretty much complete and are not expected to receive any further updates. The rookies currently do not have portraits and will receive new temporary portraits when the Universal Portrait Project update arrives.

PBA 2K v12.0 Released

The newest PBA 2K update has been released! This new update features the debut of the 2012-2013 PBA Philippine Cup roster, the 2014 PBA Governors' Cup roster, a partially updated 2016 PBA Governors' Cup roster, year-specific Smart Araneta Coliseum floors, 2015-2016 PBA Practice jerseys, an updated Gilas 4.0, and Free Agent Vaults!

Going Backwards!

We are going BACKWARDS! We've just completed the missing 2014 PBA Governors' Cup roster from Medevenx' hiatus back in 2014 where he was not able to make the update for the PBA roster. Now it's back and is finally made with the same quality as the current PBA rosters. Not only that, we have decided to go back to the 2012-2013 PBA season! Only the 2012-2013 PBA Philippine Cup is available right now, but we will feature the 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup & Governors' Cup in the next updates.

The 2012-2013 PBA season has an accurate schedule, which however, is placed in 2013-2014 instead because NBA 2K14 cannot read schedules that occur before the 2013-2014 season. The staff, jerseys, courts, are all accurate for the 2012-2013 PBA season.

Updated Rosters & Free Agent Vaults

We add a new feature to PBA 2K, the Free Agent Vault, which is only implemented in the 2015-2016 PBA season rosters. We've also partially updated the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup rosters, adding imports to teams which we can already update now without having to do too much work since we want to wait for the final list of imports in July. We also update the Smart Araneta Coliseum for 2016, with the new Smart logo. TNT also has a new logo, which is implemented in their jerseys as well as the logos, scoreboard logos, and bootup. The Smart Araneta Coliseum from 2012 to 2014 also makes a return.

For the 2012-2013 PBA rosters, we move the 2013-2014 PBA rookies back to their college teams without editing the college teams to their actual lineup during that season. That means the college teams maintain their 2013-2014 season rosters, while having the 2012-2013 seniors as part of the team.

The Gilas 4.0 lineup has been revealed and updated in all of the PBA 2K rosters that have them (2014-2015 season rosters & 2015-2016 season rosters since they both have the same roster format). The new Gilas Pilipinas jerseys have now also been added. The roster keeps the 16-man lineup that they had before finalizing which includes the final 12, Moala Tautuaa, Kiefer Ravena, Calvin Abueva, and L.A. Tenorio.

Over 80 Jerseys!

Over 80 jerseys have been made for the new PBA 2K update which are all by appsndroandro. Not only are practice jerseys made for the 2015-2016 PBA season, but missing jerseys for the PBA teams from 2013-2016 were all completed. The new Rain or Shine jerseys also make an appearance. The Tropang TNT also have their new fictional jerseys in preparation for the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup. Only three NCAA teams have their NCAA Season 91 jerseys updated so far, the Mapua Cardinals, Arellano Chiefs, and EAC Generals. Because of the growing population of the jerseys, as well as the pursuit of retro seasons for PBA 2K, we decided to remove the retro PBA jerseys in favor of accurate, per-conference PBA jerseys.

Not only are there 80+ new jerseys, but there are 45 new cyberfaces for PBA 2K as well! Year-specific cyberfaces for the retro seasons such as 2012-2014 Jay Washington, Jared Dillinger, Alex Cabagnot, and even a bald Marcio Lassiter for the 2011 Smart Gilas Pilipinas roster is available. New updates such as long-haired Romeo, Chris Newsome, etc. are available as well.

Updated Logos

All of the new and old logos have already been implemented in the re-uploaded PBA 2K Logos & Scoreboards, as well as the PBA 2K Optional Files. The Logos & Scoreboards have the new TNT logos, and all of the old PBA team logos as well. The Optional Files have updated bootups featuring the new logos. We have new TNT logos, a flat Barangay Ginebra logo (no longer shiny), and all of the retro team logos.

Incoming July Update

While we promised to have updated NCAA Season 91 jerseys for PBA 2K v12.0, we did not foresee the workload ahead of us in the jersey department which made only 3 out of 10 NCAA teams have updated NCAA Season 91 jerseys. NCAA Season 92 has already caught up to us and while the team is unsure whether or not to update both the UAAP & NCAA rosters for future updates, we will first make sure to have updated NCAA Season 91 jerseys in the update for PBA 2K in July. Not only that, we will also feature the 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup & Governors' Cup rosters, completing the 2012-2013 PBA season. We will add two new Import Vaults, and the finalized 2016 PBA Governors' Cup roster.

Rename to PBA 2K

To download the new update for PBA 2K v12.0, be sure to download the newest PBA 2K Appdata Files and PBA 2K Main Directory Files v12.0. Yes, we will start naming the Main Directory Files per version now. NLSC Mirrors Being Moved to MediaFire

NLSC is down for the mean time as they are running into hosting issues. A number of changes will come to NLSC during their downtime, which include a major change regarding downloading files from the download facility for NLSC. They're getting into some financial trouble so let's show our support to The NLSC by sending a donation!

Host Movement!

NLSC is simply the greatest community on the Internet dedicated to basketball video gaming. The site is going through some financial trouble lately regarding their web hosting services. Their host has discontinued their hosting service, which made their free database allowable. Because of the host change, they will have to change hosts to still allow their download services to be free. This hosting change, however, will change one of a few things we all love about NLSC.

NLSC will not require registration for downloading files. While registration is for free, and downloading is for free as well, we do know that there are a lot of people that find this inconvenient. As you all know, we are all about convenience. While we do provide mirrors for most files, there are files that we have not provided mirrors for yet. Now, in the next few days, we will make sure to have mirrors for those files that we have uploaded on NLSC that don't have mirrors yet.

We will still continue to upload to NLSC simply because they have the best download facility available. It has the best features for downloading the Appdata Files (previous versions of the file available on the same page). We will just provide MediaFire mirrors for the other files so that those that aren't registered don't need to register. However, we definitely do recommend that you show you support to NLSC by registering if you haven't yet, and download our files from their facilities.

Seushiro's Animation Mod v3.1b Beta & Blank Overlay - Medevenx Wipe

Seushiro's animation mod has received a new update! He added new dribble animations, silently fixed a lot of bugs as well. A blank overlay with the Medevenx wipe logo has also been released.

Shammgod!

God Shammgod! The dribble move God Shammgod made famous, maybe even invented, used to be in previous NBA 2K titles and was subsequently removed in NBA 2K14. Now it is back and replaces Hesitation 2 and 3 from the Hesitation Dribbles animation pack. Behind The Back 7 has also been replaced with the Double Behind the Back dribble. Some minor glitches and errors have also been fixed in this update.

Med's NBA Roster v3.9e Released

With one final game upcoming to decide the 2016 NBA Champions, we provide one more minor update for Med's NBA Roster! We fix some team colors and updated some ratings, accessories & rotations as well. A new feature has been added to the roster as we've unlocked the practice jerseys for all teams, making them available in Exhibition & Association/MyCareer modes. We've also made a few fixes to the Overseas & Retiree Vaults, as well as add Jerry Stackhouse to the Retiree Vault.

Practice Jerseys Unlocked!

Other than your regular roster updated with updated ratings, accessories and rotations, we've also learned that practice jerseys can be unlocked in Exhibition & Association/MyCareer modes. We decided to add it as a new feature for the roster and unlock all the practice jerseys for all teams.

Jerry Stackhouse Added to Retiree Vault

One of the retirees that have we missed in the last update is Jerry Stackhouse, so we added him to the Retiree Vault. We also moved Pops Mensah-Bonsu from the Overseas Vault to the Retiree Vault. We removed Carldell Johnson, Josh Davis, Chris Wright, Kevin Murphy, Ryan Reid, Sean Williams, Larry Owens from the Overseas Vault as well since they need a bit more attention to detail which did not make it to this update. The cyberface error regarding Othyus Jeffers and Brandon Davies have also been corrected.

Team Colors Corrected

We slightly changed and corrected team colors for the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings. The Warriors now sport new blue and gold colors, with the blue no longer looking purple. The Knicks also have a new blue and orange, with the Timberwolves ditching the green for a new silver color. The Kings also adopt a new purple color in this update.

Future Updates

The reason we haven't released Med's NBA Roster v4.0 is we want to have a final version of the 2015-2016 NBA roster first. The roster is still going through edits regarding ratings, animations, accessories, etc. so we want to finish the season before we release the new 2016-2017 NBA season roster. In that new roster, we will have the new coaching changes, the new jerseys for the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings, the schedule will be adjusted to 2016-2017, the salaries will also be adjusted, etc. After the NBA Finals, we will release the very first version of Med's NBA Roster v4.0 on NBA Draft night (June 23).

To download this new update, you only have to download the Appdata Files. That's right. There's no need to download any Main Directory Files for this update. Enjoy!
