#ProjectFreeAgency Med's NBA Roster - July 6 Update

Here is the sixth day of #ProjectFreeAgency. Dwyane Wade goes to Chicago! A total of 9 transactions have been made today, along with a few ratings updates.

July 6 (Day 6) Free Agency

Dwyane Wade signs with the Chicago Bulls after feeling disrespected by the amount of money Miami has been offering him! This signing causes two trades to clear cap space, trading away Mike Dunleavy Jr. to Cleveland and Jose Calderon to the Lakers. Brian Roberts has been signed by the Charlotte Hornets and we add the Mindaugas Kuzminskas transactions from yesterday to the roster. Langston Galloway has also been signed by the New Orleans Pelicans, and Nene joins the Houston Rockets. Former Golden State Warriors Leandro Barbosa return to the Phoenix Suns and Brandon Rush sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves to make cap space for the Kevin Durant signing.

#ProjectFreeAgency Med's NBA Roster - July 4 Update

Here is the fourth day of #ProjectFreeAgency. A total of 8 signings have been made today, along with a few ratings updates. The arena for the Utah Jazz has also been renamed to Vivint Smart Home Arena.

July 4 (Day 4) Free Agency

With Kevin Durant answering the big question in this year's free agency, the signings have mellowed down a bit with only a few major signings left to be done. One of the bigger ones being Pau Gasol to the San Antonio Spurs. While this may be a sign that Tim Duncan will retire, we will still keep him in the roster for good measure. The new-look New York Knicks appears to finally solve their bench issue with the signing of Brandon Jennings. Andrew Bogut has been traded to Dallas for a future pick, while also signing Zaza Pachulia. We also have a few ratings updates that were included. Players on new teams include Sergio Rodriguez (Philadelphia 76ers), Ramon Sessions & Roy Hibbert (Charlotte Hornets), Brandon Jennings (New York Knicks), Andrew Bogut & Seth Curry (Dallas Mavericks), Pau Gasol (San Antonio Spurs), and Zaza Pachulia (Golden State Warriors).

Utah Jazz Arena Rename

The Utah Jazz Arena was renamed from EnergySolutions Arena to Vivint Smart Home Arena, which was actually used starting from the 2015-2016 NBA season that we completely missed during our 2015-2016 NBA season updates.

#ProjectFreeAgency Med's NBA Roster - July 3 Update

Here is the third day of #ProjectFreeAgency. Kevin Durant signs with the Golden State Warriors! MyCareer crashing has been fixed and a number of coaching changes have been implemented.

July 3 (Day 3) Free Agency

The biggest free agent signing in years has just occured! Yes, Kevin Durant joins the Golden State Warriors! While this is technically a July 4 signing (along with the corresponding Harrion Barnes to Dallas signing), this was a big enough transaction to be included in the July 3 update. The assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers is no longer Mike D'Antoni (he is now the head coach of the Houston Rockets) and is replaced with the original assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers. Brian Shaw is now the assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dan Burke is the new assistant coach of the Indiana Pacers, and Mike Brown is the new assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors.

MyCareer Crashing Fixed!

The Rookie Showcase was the cause of crashing for the July 2 update, so we changed the lineups to make it work. Now, the Rookie Showcase now features the 2016 NBA Rookies as the Elites against the 1st & 2nd All-Rookie Teams from the 2015-2016 NBA Season! The team lineups are as follows:

As promised, we are doing DAILY updates for Med's NBA Roster v4.0 as part of #ProjectFreeAgency. The new transactions are here, the 2016 NBA rookies now participate in the Rookie Showcase, the Sacramento Kings' arena has been renamed to Golden 1 Center, and includes a few fixes!

#ProjectFreeAgency Med's NBA Roster - July 1 Update

Free Agency is that crazy time of the year where the expected and the unexpected occur! Because of the ever-changing nature of NBA team lineups to arrive within the next couple of weeks, we will provide DAILY roster updates for Med's NBA Roster called #ProjectFreeAgency. We will still call the roster Med's NBA Roster v4.0 because it will most likely be only player signings and transactions. We have some new cyberfaces for a couple of rookies and the missing cyberface for the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

July 1 (Day 1) Free Agency

As you can see, there have been a LOT of player signings on the very first day of Free Agency! We also release O.J. Mayo from the Milwaukee Bucks and send him to the Overseas Vault 3 after being banned from the NBA for 2 years, swapping with Justin Hamilton's slot who played overseas last year and will be playing for the Brooklyn Nets this year. We also release Jimmer Fredette from the New York Knicks and James Ennis from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Updated Playbooks & Coaching Profiles by theyano!

Other than your basic roster update, we also have updated playbooks & coaching profiles by theyano! Gameplay will now be considerably smoother with this new update since there will be better playcalling by the CPU. New playbooks are also available for the all of the teams in case you are into playcalling in-game. There are also a LOT of error fixes since the initial release. We corrected the Years Pro for all players (incorrect in the initial update), the team abbreviation on the scoreboard for the Denver Nuggets (incorrect in the initial update), and a bunch of rookie player info that was all incorrect.

New Cyberfaces

(Buddy Hield & Domantas Sabonis' cyberface updates)

We add Stephon Marbury's cyberface to the game since we will be adding him to the next NBA roster update for the July 2 update. We also updated Buddy Hield and Domantas Sabonis' cyberfaces for the NBA roster. Head coach Kenny Atkinson of the Brooklyn Nets now also has a cyberface after being reported to have missing his cyberface in the update. To enjoy these new cyberfaces, you need to download this small follow-up pack. If you haven't downloaded v4.0 (initial release on June 3) yet, you don't have to download this follow-up pack since Main Directory Files 21 has already been re-uploaded with the files in this follow-up pack included.

Med's NBA Roster v4.0 Released

Thank you for the wonderful 2015-2016 NBA season! Change has come! The fourth season of Med's NBA Roster for NBA 2K14, the fifth season since Med's NBA Roster for NBA 2K13! This new update includes the new NBA season such as updated player & coach transactions, new retirees added to the retiree vault, the 2016 NBA rookies, and the new 2016-2017 NBA jerseys!

New Retiree Vaults & Roster Updates

A total of 38 new retirees have been added to new Retiree Vaults (Retiree Vaults 4 & 5). A lot of the cyberfaces and player info come from old versions of NBA 2K, as well as the Ultimate Base Roster. So huge credits to HAWK23 for the addition of the new retiree vault players! Other than that, we have your basic NBA roster update with all of the new transactions since the last update (June 19, 2016). Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jerian Grant are now members of the Chicago Bulls. George Hill is the new point guard for the Utah Jazz. Marco Belinelli now plays for the Charlotte Hornets. Derrick Rose & Justin Holiday join the New York Knicks. Serge Ibaka and Jodie Meeks are now part of the Orlando Magic. Thaddeus Young and Jeff Teague have joined the Indiana Pacers. Cameron Bairstow is now a member of the Detroit Pistons. Both Victor Oladipo and Ersan Ilyasova now join the Oklahoma City Thunder.

All of the new coaching changes for the new NBA season have also been implemented. David Fizdale now coaches the Memphis Grizzlies. Kenny Atkinson is the new coach for the Brooklyn Nets. Dave Joerger will coach the Sacramento Kings. Nate McMillan now coaches the Indiana Pacers. Former Assistant Coach Luke Walton is now the new Head Coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. Tom Thibodeau returns to head coaching, this time for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Frank Vogel is the new coach for the Orlando Magic and Scott Brooks is back as the new head coach for the Washington Wizards.

2016-2017 NBA Rookies!

All of the rookies drafted in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft are now added to the roster! The only exceptions to this are Juan Hernangomez, Guerschon Yabusele, and Ante Zizic that will not be playing this season due to their contracts overseas. Thus, they are added to Overseas Vault 10 instead. All of the rookies are made by byronray and Monzki15. They deserve most, if not all of the credit here. Hener2K provided the cyberfaces for both Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram while I assigned the players to their respective teams. Rookies drafted in the first round are the only players with guaranteed contracts so we chose to add them first. Future updates will include the second rounders once the contracts have been finalized for next season.

The draft order for MyCareer has already been updated, featuring the 2016 NBA Draft Class. However, the Rookie Showcase does not feature the rookies yet. All of the contracts have also not been adjusted yet to the new salary cap as of yet, because the new contracts have to be finalized before we proceed.

New Jerseys by MVL & Shoes by JPeB

The Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings now have their new jerseys provided by MVL. The Kings now have their new Home, Away, Alternate and Back in Black jerseys while the Jazz have their Home, Away, Alternate and Pride sleeved jerseys.

JPeB has made new shoes for the NBA roster! These shoes are all assigned to the NBA players already. For more information on this shoes, check out his Facebook page!

Future Updates

Future updates will include the Free Agency updates, while roster updates near the opening night of the next season will feature more accurate contracts as well. All of the undrafted players that were signed, second-rounders that were signed as well as the players who were drafted last year but will play this season will also be added. As of now, the retiree vaults and overseas vaults are pretty much complete and are not expected to receive any further updates. The rookies currently do not have portraits and will receive new temporary portraits when the Universal Portrait Project update arrives.
